Clustering has emerged in Europe and now Asia as an important approach to accelerate a country's economic competitiveness. The international conference titled "Clustering 07 - Policy of Policies" was the joint initiative of three EC-funded projects in Turkey. It was held at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Istanbul and the newly established Istanbul Moda Academy. Economists, business leaders and policy makers from Turkey, Europe and the United States attended. From a diverse array of sectors (tourism, textiles, automotive, food, logistics) presentations and workshops were held.
A strong and meaningful identity was developed and a wide range of materials essential to the conference prepared. On the day before the conference, the set-up of three conference stages, two registration points and signage was personally supervised and co-ordinated.
